Making Links in System Messages Protocol-Aware

Hey all,

I think it would be nice if the links in certain system messages (new PM notifications, updates to subscribed board topics, etc) were to be protocol-aware (i.e., if you were using HTTP, the links would use HTTP, and if you were using the secure (HTTPS) version of the site the links would also use HTTPS). What do you think?

Should be doable, at least for private messages and board topics. Only one I don't think is simple is the update to the news file.

This is now done for private messages and subscribed board topics. Don't remember if there's others.

Just curious, why would the update to the news file one be a bit trickier?

It's a system message sent to all at once instead of just to one user. There may be another way, but I'll hve to think about it.
